Mayor Fenty to Join DPR and Boys & Girls Club for Evening of Pop Warner Football

On Wednesday, September 24 at 6 pm, Mayor Adrian M. Fenty will join the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) and the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Washington to celebrate the new DC Pop Warner Football Season. The newly-combined football league is comprised of 113 teams and over 2,800 youth athletes, ages 5 to 15 years old.

The Mayor will administer the coin toss for the evening’s first game between Clubhouse #11 and the Rosedale Tigers in the Mitey Mite division.  The second game will feature Marshall Heights vs. Ft. Davis in the Midget division, with kick-off at 7:30 pm.
