Mayor Fenty and DPR Director Ray to Break Ground for New Playgrounds at Langdon Park - Advisories

On Wednesday, October 22, 2008, at 3:45 pm, Mayor Adrian M. Fenty, DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) Director Clark E. Ray, and Ward 5 Councilmember Harry Thomas, Jr., Chairman of the Committee on Libraries, Parks and Recreation, will join the Ward 5 community for a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the beginning of construction of new playgrounds at the Langdon Park Community Center, 2901 20th St., NE

This project will construct two new play structures, one for 2 to 5 year olds and one for 6 to 12 year olds. A new central plaza and walkways will also be built. Construction is scheduled to be complete in spring 2009.
