Due to weather conditions, roofing work at the Guy Mason Recreation Center, 3600 Calvert Street, NW has been extended for two days. Current work includes removal of the current slate roof and replacement with a new slate roof system, and repairs to other portions of the building that have been affected by moisture.

The building will remain open during the majority of the work, however to accommodate work on the front of the building, and for the safety of patrons, the building will open at 3 pm during the business day on Monday, November 3 and Tuesday, November 4.

Regular hours are scheduled to resume on Wednesday, November 5, 2008.
