The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) will soon begin scheduled floor resurfacing work at the Bennning Stoddert Community Center and the Fort Davis Community Center. 

On January 26, 2009, DPR will close the gymnasium at the Benning Stoddert Community Center 100 Stoddert Place, SE to begin resurfacing of the gymnasium floor.  Only the gymnasium will be closed while work is being performed, all other areas of the center will remain open.  The work is scheduled to be completed on February 13, 2009.

On February 16, 2009, DPR will close the dance floor at the Fort Davis Community Center, 1400 41st Street, SE to begin resurfacing.  Again, only the dance floor will be closed while work is being performed, all other areas of the center will remain open.  The work is scheduled to be completed on February 27, 2009.
