The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) has announced that DPR's natural grass fields remain closed today, Thursday, March 5, 2009, for the safety of DPR customers.  Poor field conditions have been created by the melting snow and ice, and many fields remain saturated with water.  Use of natural grass fields in their current condition can easily create long-term damage to the fields.   All DPR artificial turf fields are open for use.
