Mayor Adrian M. Fenty will be joined by the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR), Office of Public Education Facilities Modernization (OPEFM), District leaders, Capitol City Little League, Play Ball DC!, and community members of Wards 3 and 4 for a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the completion of safety improvements to the baseball diamond at Chevy Chase Playground.
Mayor Fenty will also throw out the first pitch for Opening Day of Capitol City Little League baseball’s spring 2009 season. Hundreds of youth and their families are expected to attend.
