The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) will have limited hours this weekend at the Takoma Aquatic Center, 300 Van Buren Street, NW, as it is the site of the Potomac Valley Swimming Long Course Distance Meet. On Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21, the Takoma Aquatic Center will be open for public swim from 9 am to 12 noon and the pool will be setup in the 50 meter configuration.  The Potomac Valley Swimming Long Course Distance Meet will begin at 1:45 pm on Saturday and Sunday and is open to the public for viewing; spectator admission is free.

Takoma Aquatic Center will reopen and resume regular hours on Monday, June 22.  Other DPR indoor and outdoor pools will maintain their regular schedules throughout the weekend; locations and hours are available in the "Aquatics" section on DPR's website, DPR.DC.GOV, or by calling the Aquatics Division at (202) 671-1289.
