(Washington, DC) The Department of Parks and Recreation, in partnership with the Children’s Youth Investment Trust Corporation and the Department of Employment Services, offers an opportunity for youth between the ages of 15 -24 who are interested in becoming Certified American Red Cross lifeguards. Training includes youth development, pre-lifeguard conditioning, and the lifeguard training course. Youth can be eligible to earn up $250 for their participation in the Lifeguard Academy. Job placement will be available upon completion of the academy.
The Department of Parks and Recreation, Aquatics Office is also accepting applications for certified lifeguards who are interested in working this summer at neighborhood pools . We offer competitive salaries and an opportunity to become a year-round lifeguard .
