(Washington, DC) The Department of Parks and Recreation and the United Black Fund, Inc., will hold the 21st Annual Black History Invitational Swim Meet, February 17 and 18, 2007, at Takoma Community Center, 300 Van Buren Street, NW.
This swim meet was founded in 1987 to provide urban youth with strong competition, positive outlets for self-expression and opportunities for team sportsmanship.
Each year more than 30 teams and 600 swimmers ages 3–18 from across the country participate in this historical event.
This swim meet starts at 7 am on Saturday and 9 am Sunday.
