Public Comments Sought on Proposed Dog Exercise Area Regulations; Additional Community Meetings Scheduled

The Dog Park regulations have been published by the DC Office of Documents and Administrative Issuances in the DC Register and are now available for public comment.


Copies may also be obtained from the Customer Service Desk at the Department of Parks and Recreation, 3149 16th Street, NW, Washington, DC 20010 between 8:30 am and 5 pm. The telephone number for the Customer Service Desk is (202) 673-7647.

All persons wishing to comment on the subject matter of the proposed rulemaking shall submit comments in writing.  Written comments should be submitted to the Department of Parks and Recreation, Office of Planning and Design located at 3149 16th Street, NW, Washington, DC 20010.  The public comment period has been extended to Tuesday, May 1, 2007.

The Department of Parks and Recreation will also hold citywide meetings to provide background information about the rulemaking process and to discuss in more detail the application process.  Comments and questions about the rulemaking will also be welcome during these meetings.
