DPR Opens Eight Outdoor Pools in Response to High Heat and Humidity

(Washington, DC) Eight outdoor pools—Fort Lincoln, Kenilworth-Parkside, Georgetown, Fort Stanton, Benning Park, Fort Dupont, Harry Thomas and Oxon Run—will open this afternoon in response to the high heat and humidity in the District of Columbia. “In response to the heat today we are allowing the residents to enjoy the water and cool off,” said Wanda Durden, Interim Director of DC Parks and Recreation. The following pools will be open this afternoon until 6 pm.
