DC Parks and Recreation Facilities Will Open on Independence Day

The Department of Parks and Recreation will open various centers and outdoor pools on Wednesday, July 4.  The hours of operation are from 12 noon to 6 pm.

The following centers will be open:

Upshur Recreation Center 4300 Arkansas Avenue, NW
Harry Thomas Sr. Recreation Center 1743 Lincoln Road, NE
Fort Stanton Community Center 1812 Erie Street, SE
Palisades Community Center 5200 Sherrier Place, NW

The following outdoor pools will be open:

Anacostia Pool 1800 Anacostia Drive, SE
Barry Farm Pool 1223 Sumner Road, SE
Benning Park Pool 5300 Fitch Street, SE
Douglass Pool 1900 Stanton Terrace, SE
East Potomac Pool 900 Ohio Drive, SW
Fort Dupont Pool Ridge Road and Burns Street, SE
Fort Lincoln Pool 3201 Ft. Lincoln Drive, NE
Fort Stanton Pool 1800 Erie Street, SE
Francis Pool 2500 N Street, NW
Georgetown Pool 3400 Volta Place, NW

The following neighborhood walk-to-learn pools (ages: 12 and under) will be open:

Lincoln Capper 500 L Street, SE
Watkins Recreation Center 420 12th Street, SE

All indoor pools and other DPR facilities will be closed on Wednesday, July 4, in observance of the federal holiday. All facilities will reopen on Thursday, July 5.
