Come and join DPR and volunteers from the DC Building Industry Association to build a recreation center playground for children with disabilities. This playground will create an inclusion area that promotes interaction with other children and parents with or without disabilities. The Center for Therapeutic Recreation is the only center of its kind in Southeast DC.
The 15th Annual Community Improvement Day will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2007, from 7 am to 5 pm. The Center for Therapuetic Recreation is located at 3030 G Street, SE.
Volunteers are needed for planting trees and shrubs, painting, general cleaning, carpentry, repairing benches and picnic tables, as well as other tasks.
