On September 21st, the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) in partnership with DC Commissions on the Arts and Humanities (DCCAH) will host a mural dedication ceremony at Turkey Thicket Community Center, 1100 Michigan Ave., NE. The ceremony begins at 5:30 pm.
DPR and DCCAH enjoy a partnership that allows local and national artists to fabricate and install artwork in recreation centers.
The Turkey Thicket Community Center is one of ten recreation centers to feature artwork from different artists and the eighth installation since the partnership with DCCAH began in 2005.
Their work is reflective of the Turkey Thicket Community.
