DC Parks and Recreation Host Youth Division Championships

(Washington, DC) This weekend, 12 teams will face off in the DC Parks and Recreation Youth Football League (DCPRYFL) Division Championships. The games begin at 10 am on Saturday, November 17, at Roosevelt High School, 4301 13th Street, NW. The winners in each division will be crowned citywide Recreation Champions in their age division.

In the first game, the Emery “Soldiers” will take on the Harry Thomas, Sr., “Cougars” in the Pee Wee Division, ages 6–8; followed by an 11:30 am game with the Emery “Soldiers” versus the Langdon Park “Indians” in the Anklebiter Division, ages 7–9.  

The next match-up begins at 1 pm and features division tie-breaker between the Lafayette “Panthers” against the Kenilworth “Lions” in the Pony Division, ages 8–11. At 2:30 pm, the 9–12 year olds in the Midget Division face off with the Kenilworth “Lions” against the undefeated “Indians” from North Michigan Park.  

At 4 pm the top-rated Raymond “Tigers” take on the Harry Thomas Sr., “Cougars” for a showdown in the Junior Division, ages 10–13. The last game starts at 5:30 pm with the Lafayette “Panthers” squaring off against the “Sharks” from Benning Stoddert in the Intermediate Division, ages 11–14.
