In an effort to enhance its offering of quality programs, the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) today announced that it is looking for organizations to provide a variety of programs at DPR centers throughout the District. From bilingual story time for toddlers and arts and crafts for children, to book clubs for girls and GED prep classes for adults, this opportunity is for organizations that have experience in providing outstanding programs and yet are challenged with finding space.
“This is another step forward in my vision that our facilities will overflow with educational, artistic, holistic and recreational activity,” said DPR Director Clark E. Ray. “For organizations throughout the District that have experience in providing outstanding programs and yet, year after year, have space or participant issues, DPR says, ‘We have the space. We have the people: Bring your program to us.' ”
