Mayor Adrian M. Fenty, Councilmember Muriel Bowser, and the Departments of Parks and Recreation (DPR) and Employment Services (DOES) will officially launch the opening of the Emery One-Stop Career and Information Center on April 9, 2008 at the Emery Recreation Center in Ward 4. The center, which will be jointly operated by DPR and DOES, will provide local residents with information on employment related services including training and access to job opportunities in the District and the region. Information on apprenticeships, pre-apprenticeships, and on-the-job training programs will also be offered as well as upcoming workshops and job fairs.
