Completing its first season of play, the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) is proud to announce the 2008 DPR Adult Co-ed Kickball League champions.  This season, the league had six teams and 150 adult athletes.  The team "DeJa' Vu," featuring DPR staff and community members, earned both league champion and tournment champion titles this season.

Other teams in DPR's kickball league included "Big Fish", a neighborhood team that sells some of the best fish in DC,  the "Jo Jo’s", with team members from Howard University, and the "Columbia Heights Heat," featuring DPR staff.  Other teams included "Run DMV" a team of local government employees (but not affiliated with the Deparment of Motor Vehicles) and community members.  The final team was "NBK" better known as "Natural Born Killers," with  players from throughout greater Washington.

On August 20, DPR hosted the 2008 Adult Co-ed Kickball Tournament, where DeJa' Vu once again earned the championship title.  In two defensive battles, DeJa’ Vu defeated NBK in the first game 4 - 2 and 1 - 0 in the second game.
