DPR Citywide Cheer and Pom-Pon Competition Tonight at Coolidge Senior High School

Tonight, Friday, May 29, the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) will host "Friday Nite Cheer Lights," a citywide Cheer and Pom-Pon competition, at Coolidge Senior High School, 6315 5th Street, NW.  The competition will begin at 6 pm and will feature DPR teams from across the District competing in age groups from 6 years old and under through 18 years old.  The event will end with two exhibition performances by parents.

Spectator admission is $10 for 12 years old and up; $5 for children; and children ages 5 and under are free.

DPR's Cheer and Pom-Pom program currently has 27 teams and over 300 athletes, ages 6 to 18 years old, participating across the District; for more information call DPR Athletic Programs at (202) 671-1700.
