The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) will end its spring soccer season by hosting the Citywide Spring Soccer Championship/Transition Cup on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at the Takoma Community Center, 300 Van Buren Street, NW.  The tournament was originally scheduled for Saturday, June 6, but was rescheduled due to weather.  Games will run throughout the day beginning at 9 am and ending at approximately 5 pm.

During Saturday’s championship games over 250 young athletes, ages 5 to 18 years old, on 19 teams, will compete in the tournament.  The day will end with a trophy and awards presentation.  For more information contact DPR Athletic Programs, (202) 671-1700.
