Dr. Ximena Hartsock, Acting Director of the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR), will join Jeff Franco, Executive Director of City Year Washington, DC, hundreds of volunteers, including 85 City Year Washington, DC corps members, and members of the Ward 8 community to kick-off the first citywide DPR Beautification Day and City Year Washington, DC's last service day for the 2008-2009 service year on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 8:45 am at the Barry Farm Recreation Center, 1230 Sumner Rd., SE.
