Frequently Asked Questions and Answers about DPR Field Permits:
Question: What is the list of user priority for field use?
Answer: Field use priority is given in the following order: DPR, DC Public Schools, DPR Partner Programs, Non-DPR Youth Programs, Non-DPR Adult Programs, Non-Resident Youth programs, Non-Resident Adult programs.
Question: How are applications prioritized?
Answer: All permits applications received within the submission dates, July 20 - 31, 2009, are given equal consideration. Applications are reviewed on several factors: user priority, field availability, historical use, and user needs.
Question: What does it mean when DPR requests that groups do not “block out time"?
Answer: When a group "blocks out time" that they are no longer using, they prevent other potential users from access to that field. DPR does monitor field use to ensure groups that have reserved time are actually using the field. Please notify DPR if you see permitted fields not being utilized. DPR reserves the right to, and will revoke permits where the permit holder is "blocking out time" to prevent other use of a field.
