Due to a forecast of extreme heat, the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) has announced that on Monday, August 10 to Wednesday, August 12, 2009, it will extend hours at 13 outdoor swimming pools from 11 am to 9 pm at DPR locations across the District. Eight spray parks, eight indoor pools and five outdoor children's pools will also be open with hours listed below.
