With a continuing weather forecast of extreme heat, the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) has released an updated schedule of extended hours for outdoor swimming pools and spray parks across the District.  The extended hours schedule will be in effect through Wednesday, August 12, 2009.  Outdoor pools with lighting will have longer hours in the evening.
