The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) announced today that beginning October 19, 2009, staff and programs of the Edgewood Recreation Center and Harry Thomas, Sr. Community Center will be temporarily relocated due to capital improvement projects at both facilities.

Edgewood Recreation Center will relocate to Beacon House, 601 Edgewood Street, NE; (202) 529-0788; hours of operation will be Monday to Friday, 3:30 pm to 9 pm.

Harry Thomas, Sr. Community Center will relocate to St. Martin's Church, 1912 North Capitol Street, NW; (202) 232-1144; hours of operation will be Monday to Friday, 4 pm to 9 pm.

Both capital improvement projects are scheduled to be completed in early 2010.
