(Washington, DC) The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR), in coordination with the District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS), offers DPR Play Day, a full day of programs for DCPS students in grades K – 8 throughout the District. DPR Play Days coincide with DCPS’ Professional Development Days for teachers and ensures that students engage in a mixture of arts and crafts, fitness, and enrichment activities outside of the classroom. DPR Play Day programs begin at 8:30 am and continue until 5 pm. Breakfast, lunch and snack will be available for all registered youth.
Enrollment forms are available at any DCPS school or DPR recreation center. Completed forms must be delivered to the DPR site where you wish to have your child enrolled. Same day enrollment is available only if space permits.
Beginning in January 2010, DPR will offer three remaining DPR Play Days for the 2009/2010 school year.

Registration for DPR Play Day can be completed several ways:
- Register Online: DPR Online Registration System (select a location and date in the list below)
- Register Onsite: Register at your preferred DPR Play Day site; registration forms are available at DCPS schools, DPR centers, and online.
- Walk-in Registration: Same day enrollment will be available, but only if space permits.
