Boxers Compete for Mayor’s Cup

(Washington, DC) From September 13 – 15, pugilists from across the country will converge on the District to participate in the 2002 Mayor’s Cup Invitational Amateur Boxing Tournament.

Teams from Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and the District will compete against one another at the Kenilworth-Parkside Recreation Center in Northeast Washington. All weight classes, gender and age groups will be represented.

The event is a partnering effort between DC Parks and Recreation, DC Sports and Entertainment Commission and Boxing Information Center Inc.

The following is a complete schedule of events.

Friday, September 13, 2002

Weigh-in/Physicals

Coaches Meeting
