The interactive seasonal guide showcases DC parks, programs, and attractions.
(Washington, DC) The DC Parks and Recreation (DPR) 2002 Spring/Summer Activities Guide is now available on the DPR website (www.dpr.dc.gov). The redesigned guide is the first-ever released online before the traditional hardbound version, making it a complete interactive resource for District residents.
With its constant updates, the online version of the program guide offers the most up-to-date information on services and programs available through DC Parks and Recreation. Residents are able to monitor any changes to program locations, times or fees.
Developed under the direction of the DC Parks and Recreation Office of Communications and Marketing, the 2002 Spring/Summer Activities Guide was created using information from citizen focus groups and community meetings conducted in the fall and early winter.
"This is truly a unique guide, not just a guide for the spring and summer seasons, but a guide focused on our customers - the citizens of the District of Columbia " says DC Parks and Recreation Director Neil Albert. "Citizen feedback clearly gave our agency a vision of what citizens wanted to see in a program guide. This guide is a reflection of that input."
This month's planned distribution marks the earliest unveiling of spring/summer programming in the department's history, Albert says.
