(Washington, DC) Join DC Parks and Recreation as it celebrates the summer season with its annual Summer Season Kick-off Festival.

The event takes place from 11 am to 3 pm, Wednesday, June 19 at Kenilworth-Parkside Recreation Center. The center is located on 4300 Anacostia Ave., NE.

Sports clinics offered that day include: cheerleading, dance, tennis, karate and hockey. There will be basketball, baseball, football and soccer contests for area youth. Art activities, music performances by local talent and summer safety clinics are also planned.
