(Washington, DC) Calling all amateur senior athletes. The DC Olympic Games are on the way.
DC Parks and Recreation and the Office on Aging will once again host the DC Golden Olympic Competitions from May 13 to May 16, 2003.
The 20th Annual DC Golden Olympic Games are open to District residents over the age of 50. Archery, bicycling, golf, table tennis, and swimming are just a few of the events offered to senior athletes.
This event is particularly important because it showcases the continual athletic abilities of our older citizens, and offers a firsthand view of their ability to be vigorous, productive, and creative beyond traditional retirement age.
