(Washington, DC) Registering for recreation classes and reserving picnic areas or playing fields just got easier for District of Columbia residents and visitors.
The public can register online for DC Parks and Recreation programs and services via its website. This is the first time the District of Columbia has provided online registration for its park and recreation programs and services.
To provide the new service, DC Parks and Recreation is using RecWare recreation management software by The Active Network. Using RecWare software, the department is automating its recreation administration, streamlining operations and enhancing service to the community.
“We’re looking forward to bringing the convenience of online registration to the community,” said Neil O. Albert, director, DC Parks and Recreation. “We provide multiple recreation opportunities and serve a very large population. Services such as online registration make participation easier for busy families and spreads awareness of our programs and services.”
