Arts Ensemble Puts Dickens' Novel to Music

(Washington, DC) Feeling like a scrooge this holiday season? DC Parks and Recreation’s Performing Arts Ensemble will lift your seasonal spirits.

As part of the DC Winterfest, DPR’s ensemble will perform Madame Scrooge, a musical adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.  Directed by Samuel L.E. Bonds, all performances will include a special showing of A Motown Christmas.  

Show times and dates are as follows:

Thursday, December 4, 8 pm
Friday, December 5, 8 pm
Saturday, December 6, 8 pm
Friday, December 19, 8 pm
Saturday, December 20, 8 pm


All performances will take place at Guy Mason Community Center, located at 3600 Calvert Street, NW.
