DPR Spring Break Guide Features “Destination Vacation” Activities

This spring break, Department of Parks and Recreation centers will be transformed into vacation destinations! This program allows students to “visit” other cities through their local recreation centers. The Destination Vacation events run from April 10–14, 2006.

“Trips” will be provided to destinations such as London (North Michigan Park Recreation Center), where they will experience tea parties and Wimbledon; Rome (Chevy Chase Community Center), where they will play bocci-ball and have an Italian bistro lunch; and Mexico City (Emery Recreation Center), where they’ll enjoy piñatas and salsa dancing. Other “destinations” include Japan, Egypt, France, Australia, the Bahamas, and Jamaica.

For full details, check out the 2006 Spring Break Activity Guide. The Spring Break Guide also includes plenty of other FREE activities and events for children and teens.
