(Washington, DC) On Monday, July 10, 2006, the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) will hosts a two-week session healthy nutrition camps for kids at Takoma Recreation Center and Turkey Thicket Recreation Center.
Camp Healthy Kids is a specialty camp to help children and their families learn that healthy nutrition and exercise are essential parts of a comprehensive healthy lifestyle.
“This camp’s goal is to attack obesity and other health-related conditions affecting children in the District of Columbia” said DPR Director Kimberley Flowers.

The camp hours are 9 am–5 pm, Monday through Friday.
