(Washington, DC) The DC Department of Public Works (DPW) announced today that in observance of President's Day, Monday, February 19, no trash, recycling or bulk materials will be collected from District residences.

The department will follow the holiday schedule, and collections will slide to the next day. For example, Monday’s collections will be made Tuesday, Tuesday’s collections will be made Wednesday, and so on. Collections will be completed Saturday when crews collect from residences where the normal collection day is Friday.
