(Washington, DC) The Department of Public Works (DPW) will not collect trash or recycling on the Veterans Day holiday, which will be observed on Monday, November 12. Monday and Thursday scheduled collections will slide to Tuesday and Friday while Tuesday and Friday scheduled collections will slide to Wednesday and Saturday. Leaf collection service will not be interrupted. Leaves will be removed according to the schedule posted for each neighborhood.

As is typical for a public holiday, DPW offices will be closed and other services will be suspended (no parking enforcement, including meters, and no residential and rush hour lane restrictions). All services, including parking enforcement, will resume Tuesday, November 13.
