Due to heavy rainfall in the Washington metropolitan area, the Department of Public Works (DPW) will give out sandbags to District residents today at the Brentwood Salt Dome at 1403 W Street, NE until 9 pm this evening. Sandbags will also be available tomorrow from 9 am until 5 pm. Residents will be limited to five sandbags per household—which will placed inside the vehicles by DPW staff—and  must show proof of District residency when they pick them up.
