Fort Totten Transfer Station Will Close Early Today Due to Power Failure

(Washington, DC) The DC Department of Public Works (DPW) announced today that the Ft. Totten Transfer Station, located at 4950 Bates Road, NE, has closed due to a power outage. It will reopen when power is restored. Residents should please call 311 before attempting to drop off bulk items.

 

During normal conditions, the Ft. Totten facility accepts solid waste material free of charge from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday and from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturdays. The facility is closed Sundays and holidays.
