The DC Department of Public Works announced today that it will collect trash and recycling missed this Monday and Tuesday due to the snow storm and subsequent icy conditions. The make-up collections will be made Thursday and Friday, March 5 and 6, so residents should put their trash and recycling at their normal collection point.

The missed collections occurred in Supercan neighborhoods where drivers considered the alleys to be too dangerous to make collections. Supervisors noted where collections were missed. DPW crews have been attempting to collect missed trash and recycling since Monday.

Twice-a-week neighborhoods, where trash and recycling were not collected on either Monday or Tuesday, will have their collections made Thursday or Friday.
