The DC Department of Public Works (DPW) mechanical residential signed street sweeping program will be suspended for one day, Friday, October 30, to allow sweeper operators to participate in a snow removal “dry run.” The dry run, which will cover all snow routes in the District, is designed to test the city’s preparedness for the upcoming snow season. During the winter, sweeper operators drive snow plows when a snow/ice event is predicted. Street sweeping in residential neighborhoods will resume on Monday, November 2.
