(Washington, DC) Lloyd Brown, a former DC firefighter and the last surviving Navy veteran of World War I, died March 28 in Charles County. He was 105. Mr. Brown resigned from Engine 16 in 1945 to take a job at what is now Reagan National Airport Fire Department. Mr. Brown lived in Charlotte Hall, Maryland. Survivors include three daughters, 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren.
