Exam Registration begins promptly at 8:00 am on May 20, 2006
(Washington, DC) The 2006 Firefighter/EMT Entry Level Exam will be administered on Saturday, May 20, 2006 to the more than 1,900 candidates who submitted qualified applications on March 25, 2006. Qualified applicants were officially notified by the DC Office of Personnel in April 2006 and were required to return a Letter of Intent to take the exam. Only those qualified applicants will be admitted to the testing site.
Firefighter/EMT Entry Level Exam – Testing Day Instructions for Qualified Applicants:
- The exam will be administered on May 20, 2006.
- Registration begins promptly at 8:00 am.
- Candidates arriving after 8:30 am will NOT be admitted to the exam site or allowed to take the exam.
- The exam begins promptly at 9:00 am.
- Candidates MUST bring a valid unexpired picture identification that includes signature and date of birth.
- Candidates’ identification will be matched against the master list of qualified applicants developed by the DC Office of Personnel. Individuals must be on the master list to be admitted for the exam.
- Candidates MUST bring three (3) sharpened No. 2 pencils. Pencils will NOT be available at the testing site.
- Candidates MUST NOT bring rulers, slide rules, calculators, electronic devices or aids of any kind to the exam site.
- Cell phones and pagers are prohibited.
The examination should take approximately four (4) hours to complete.

There is a limited amount of public parking at the DC Armory, so candidates are strongly encouraged to take public transportation. If you are riding Metro, both the Blue and Orange lines stop at the Stadium-Armory station.
