Fire/EMS Upgrades Resources in Upper Northwest
Firehouse renovations, EMS attention are among the improvements

(Washington, DC) The DC Fire/EMS Department is fortifying services in the Upper Northwest area. Several capital improvement projects, which are at various stages of completion, will enhance service delivery for residents.

Engine 20

The much anticipated completion of this key firehouse is scheduled for this spring. Residents will enjoy a completely refurbished, modern fire station able to accommodate the needs of this vibrant community. When the project is completed, Engine 20, Truck 12, and Ambulance 20 will return to its home since 1901.

Engine 28

After the completion of Engine 20’s firehouse, the agency will focus attention on the restoration of Engine 28’s firehouse, located at 3522 Connecticut Avenue, NW. This Cleveland Park landmark will undergo a complete modernization, including upgrading the living quarters and apparatus bay area.
