The Washington, DC chapter of Women in Film and Video, in collaboration with the DC Shorts Film Festival, the Television, Internet and Video Association of DC, and the Actor's Center, and with the support of the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, and the Office of Motion Picture and Television Development, are set to host the 2009 Script DC Writer's Weekend and Screenwriter's Conference.

The three-day event, held at the University of California's Washington Center October 15-18, includes workshops and professional development seminars for screenwriters, as well as a screenwriting competition, networking opportunities and special screenings.
