2009 IMPACT Film Festival to Premiere in the Nation's Capital Next Week

IMPACT is hosting its second annual IMPACT Film Festival in Washington, DC from October 27-29. The 2009 IMPACT Film Festival will showcase six documentary and narrative films. Additionally, IMPACT will host panel discussions after each screening with filmmakers, journalists, lawmakers and other civic leaders to discuss the issues featured in the films. These films are powerful, thought provoking and relevant–exploring the subjects on the minds of Americans today.

The IMPACT ARTS + FILM FUND (IAFF) is a Washington, DC-based nonprofit organization that was created as a platform for arts, documentary and narrative filmmaking to engage with the political and policy arena. IAFF hosts screenings, panel discussions, promotional events, and exhibits to educate and enlighten its audiences and create a climate for meaningful social IMPACT.
