The D.C. Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology consists of the following members: Gabriele S. Nicolet, SLP, Chairperson; Kathleen A. Hosty, SLP, Board Member; Diane M. Brewer, AUD, Board Member; Stephanie Marshall, AUD, Board Member and Raul Echevarria, Consumer Member.
There are currently two (2) vacant seats. The vacant seats include one for a consumer member and one for an otolaryngologist. If you are interested in serving on the Board, please visit the Office of Boards and Commission where you can apply for a board appointment. You must be a D.C. resident at the time of and during your appointment to the Board.
Licensure
The District of Columbia Health Occupations Revision Act of 1985* requires licensure of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists practicing in the District of Columbia. The Board welcomes your interest in becoming licensed to practice speech-language pathology and audiology in the District of Columbia. The Board has developed the licensure application for Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology. Please review the application information in its entirety to understand the requirements and process for licensing.
