As a result of a series of recent hate crimes and the perception of an increase in violence,
DC Black Pride, the National Black Justice Coalition, the Office of LGBT Affairs, and several community organizations have organized a community forum with representatives of community groups, law enforcement, national organizations, government and the faith community to discuss what can be done to prevent hate crimes and reduce violence in the city and the country.
