The first Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Citizen Summit, held Saturday, April 30, 2005, gathered and organized views and input from LGBT residents about the priorities of the District government.
The public event was hosted by Mayor Anthony A. Williams at the Greenleaf Recreation Center, where over 300 citizens from the LGBT community attended and participated in this groundbreaking event.
In consultation with the Office of LGBT Affairs, the LGBT Executive Committee set five discussion topics for the day.
