Washington, DC) – Chief Cathy L. Lanier announces the kick off of “Project Pride,” a pictorial history of the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).  Founded in 1861, the MPD has been at the forefront of some of the most important events in our nation’s history.  The MPD’s rich history will be displayed in photographs at the Institute of Police Science.
