Metropolitan Police Chief Cathy L. Lanier announced today the start of the third All Hands on Deck (AHOD) as part of her Summer Crime Initiative.  The third AHOD will begin on Monday August 6, 2007 and continue through Tuesday, August 7, 2007.  During AHOD, all available sworn personnel will be on patrol, and will work eight hour shifts.  There will be no overtime cost associated with the third AHOD.
